Webinar: The Evolving Security Relationship between the US, Indonesia, and Australia

On 13 May, ASPI USA hosted a timely webinar on the security relationships between Indonesia, the United States, and Australia. The event explored the evolving foreign policy, security priorities, and economic endeavors of each nation as they experience new and renewed leadership.

This conversation contested that, for Indonesia, there are โ€œred linesโ€ when working with the United States, Australia, and even the PRC. As a non-aligned power, Indonesia plays a balancing role, and whether the US and Australia can play the right cards in cooperating with Jakarta while deterring external aggressors still proves to be a foreign policy dilemma in the region.
