ALLIANCE STRATEGY

Austin Wu is an alliance strategy intern at ASPI USA. His research primarily focuses on the public perception of AUKUS in the U.S. and Australia, the history of American-Australian relations, and approaches to deterrence around the Indo-Pacific.

Austin is a Master of International Relations student at the Johns Hopkins Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, with a focus on Indo-Pacific Security. In this capacity he has researched Chinese A2/AD capabilities, US Surge Sealift, and the evolution of American foreign policy. As an undergraduate political science student at Macalester College, his research focused on Sino-Indian conflict on the Brahmaputra River and Chinese Grand Strategy. His work has been published in E-International Relations and The Hill.
